A Bunny Dilemma

If anyone could help me out id be very very grateful as im in a bit of a pickle with my rabbit.
I have a 2 year old rabbit and iv had him since he was 5 weeks old, he is a black and white dutch breed and he was perfectly healthy until a couple of months ago.

5 mins after bring him home (his brother on the left)

He'd developed a common issue in rabbit where their teeth grow to fast and out of shape so they start to dig into the animals gum, making it very painful to eat.
The vets tried clipping his teeth back, but that didn't work. So in the end the only thing left to do was to take the teeth out. He had all 8 front teeth taken out in one operation which he recovered from really well and was back to his old self in know time.

Now im left with a gummy bunny who is so fussy and even before his op was picky with what he liked to eat. I have to cut everything up because he cant bite into anything.

Tonight's dinner.

He living on a diet of
Kale
Carrots
Carrot tops
Sweet Corn
Fine beans
Greens
broccoli

Im worried hes going to get bored of eating the same stuff so if anyone has any ideas of what i can give him to keep him happy, id love to hear them. :)

Olive you ><

Happy Halloween :)

As October is nearing to an end that only means one thing Halloween. Over the last couple of years Iv really fail at a costume and every year I tell my self next year will be different and I ll pre plan an outfit as soon as I know I'll be needing one. Iv had over a month now to get something shorted and like always i haven't.

So looking though old costumes from the past looking for ideas I can throw together this year. For the last My best friend and I decided to go a zombie, we even got white contacts and everything to complete the look, but this year i want to do something different. I must say putting contacts in was one of the hardest things iv ever done, I never thought id have a problem putting my finger in my eye but I do.

I come up with a really quick and easy skeleton idea this year (as iv left it to late to do anything creative.

I'll be wearing a black playsuit which I just had laying around with these new bone tights I bought off Ebay. I look every where for hand ones but had no luck.

I also got these little skeleton figures which I'll be apply to string/chain to make into a necklace.

im still in two minds wither or not to get a skull face paint done on my face to finish off the look.

Cheesey Cakes

Just recently iv been loving baking and making little treats, iv made (with the assistants of my fiance) Brownies, Fairy Cakes, Carrot Cake and a Victory Sponge.

But this time I thought id have a go at making a cheese cake. I made one about a year ago and loved it and with my love for all things sweet espeacily cheesecake it only seemed right I had another crack at making one.

I really wanted to try and make a lemon one but thought id stick to the basics for now and do what I know, so strawberry it is :).

If you'd like to know how I made this strawberry delight then keep reading.

You will need ><

250g Digestive Biscuits (or a biscuits of your choice)
100g Unsalted Butter
600g Mascarpone or soft cheese
100g Icing Sugar
284ml Cream
400g Strawberrys

Base
You'll want to start by making the base for your cheesecake. crush up the biscuits that you chose into a small bowl. I use a rolling pin for this to make the process faster.
Once you have 250g worth of biscuit crumbs, you'll want to start to melt your butter in a pan and once melted add in the crumbs until there all covered, then add your mixture into a round tray (if you can use a removable bottom cake tray.)

Filling
Now for my favorite part. When making your cheesecake filling just simply add all Mascarpone, Icing Sugar and cream into a large mixing bowl and mix together fully so all 3 ingredients are blended.

If you like you can never add some of your strawberry's to your mixture to give your cheesecake an even stronger strawberry tasted in every bite. (I myself went for just adding a strawberry sauce into the mixture).

Out Come
Once your base has cooled down compleltly go a head and add your filling mixture on top and let it set in the fridge while you make the strawberry topping.

All Wapped Up With A Strawberry On Top
When making mine I went for bending half of my strawberry's to make a sauce to drizzle over the top of my cheesecake and then cutting the others up to layer around the ages of the cheesecake. But go wild with this part make it your own :).

So there we have it :)
my very own starwberry cheesecake. If only i could share it with you all, need a guinea pig to tell me how it tastes, Anyone ?

Pretty Lady

Everywhere iv looked today all iv seen is Lady Birds. Its so weird I don't normally see them at all unless you really look for them in bushes or on flowers, but today there everywhere. I must of seen about 10 within an hour of each other, I wonder what could be attracting them out in the open.
Iv always loved lady birds ever since I was younger, I think they most be one of the only bugs im not scared of that and butterfly's.

I mean who could be scared of a little thing like that. There so little and cute with those little spots, ooo I could watch them all day. If I could keep one I would but thats just unfair.

I most say taking a photo of a lady bird is so hard there just so small and move so fast, I think im going to make it my aim to get a good pic of one to add to the other insect pictures iv taken this year.

Goldilocks, Lets Talk Hair

In one of my previous posts I mentioned a little bit about a childhood issue of mine. One of my biggest issues as a child was my hair colour. Iv never really been a fan of my hair colour love it on other people but hate it on myself. I always felt self conscious and just from having nothing but negative comments about the colour it just made me loathe it more.
Ever since I was younger I never wanted to stand out I always wanted to be normal cause i always felt different, to just hide in the background and be me and with my hair the way it was I felt like i stood out which made me uncomfortable (writing this makes me uncomfortable hehe).

When I got into secondary school surprisingly I stop caring a little about it and just got over it as id grow up with my hair all my life, so theres nothing anyone could say or do that I hadn't had before, I got on with my school life and made some amazing friend which helped me with my confidence.
As the year went on I noticed a lot more advertisements about hair dye and it got my best friend and I thinking about dyeing are hair. I cant really remember now the full reason why she or I decided to dye are hair I just know that I wanted to get away from my original colour,  try something new and well just do it cause i could.

So Iv been dying my hair for around 6 years now. Iv gone from brown to highlights to blonde to white, but now iv stop.

I loved it having dye hair essecily when it was bleach blonde, I think out of all the colours iv gone though it had to be my favorite but its nice while it last but if your like me you'll roots start showing with in 2 week of dyeing it and you'll just need to keep doing it over and over.(Long story short it looked awful which my mum would remind me everyday love you to mother).
So I choose to stop beaching it because having your hair pretty much white is just one unhealthy and completely kills your hair two I started to feel fake and wanted a more natural look and three not to mention really hard to maintain.

After a year or more having it white I decided to give my hair a long needed break and try and get it back to health so dyeing it the same colour as my roots was my only option and now i really quite like my natural hair colour.

Its been a long time since dying my hair brown which has now faded out pretty much completely unearthing some of the blonde behind that was left behind as well as some of my natural colour. which i am really quite liking at the moment. Its got the dip dye kinda look going on which has made me feel like wanting to re dye it and make it look like a proper dip die or maybe dye it a bright colour oooh decisions decisions :).

Happiness Is A Ray Of Sunshine

A couple of week ago a friend of mine asked me "what things in your room make me happy?.
After reading his blog post (which was amazing by the way i'll link it below)
It really got me thinking what does make me happy about my room, what are my likes and dis like. If I had it my way id change my room completely, but lets face it im lazy and after a good 10 years being in that room im used to it looking the way it does.
When I first moved in to my room there was plans to re-paint but things happened and I never did so over the years I just decided to fill it and just cover it with thing that I love.
Even tho I look at my room and hate it these little things about it which make it mine.

To start of it has to be my bed.
Its the main feature of the room,
iv had this bed for about 5 years now and it a bed I can finely call mine . In the past all the end I had were never completely mine someone else had them first, but this one I got to choose my self and be the first to sleep in it. Everything about my bed has to be set out the way I like it and I rarely let anyone near it as I don't like people in my bed, you can sit on it but no you can get in it.

Four walls
Well with out my walls there is no room, as I share my room I own 2 walls hehe,
The stuff on my walls make me happy and make me want to be in my room more. I have built up a rather big collection of posters over the year that have changed as my taste and likes have changed I aim to cover every space I can on my wall more because I hate the wall paper but more cause id rather fill my life with things that make me Smile :D. (Im in dying need of a Supernatural poster me things)

On my 18th birthday my best friend made me this memory photo frame filled with pictures of everyone who I love most. its got to be one of my favourite things in my room. I keep meaning to make an up to date one like this as there's more pictures I need to print off.

Stuck on a shelf
Every morning i look at the shelves at the end of my bed and think dear god woman why? When i was younger i used (still do kinda) collect TY beanie baby's, i must have over 60 Beanie baby's up on these shelves
which I put up shortly after moving into my room. I now think to my self even tho I love them
I need to take them down as i need to make room for more things. I will share with you all a little insight into my mind and one of the reason I haven't put them away yet, I guess you could say I was and people will say I still am a weird child. I had this habit when I was younger, I would look a toy or stuffed animal and decided in my head wither it was good or evil. So the little child in me still want to think that by putting all my stuffed toys in a box hidden away this will turn them evil (I already have an evil one already due to the fact I couldn't make my mind up if it was or not and had to choose it quickly.)

I put up a new shelf a couple of months but its full like all the others, so to add to my things to do list clear my clutter is so one of em. On a happy note iv got some cool fairy lights :D

Out of everything in my room its the little things that I love, the little gifts that people give me and all the cute little things that remind me of memory's close to my heart. So even tho i hate my room I would change it :) not one bit, Maybe clean it but yeah :D

Fairy Dust

Thursday nights are just resonantly starting to become a night of baking. My other half and I got together last week and decided to bake brownies. (like the fool I am I forgot to take photos so I was unable to tell share on here.) As they were such a success I thought id make some fairy cake.
There's something about fairy cakes that just reminds me of my childhood, my mum used to help run a coffee morning at are church on a Saturday and we'd often bake cakes to take along with us to sell as well. I used to love helping out as a kid I would help wash up, collect cups on a little trolley, lay out the cakes and spend my morning dying to see what ones will be left so I could get to have one hehe.
One of the reason my mum helped run the coffee mornings was because of the Ballet classes that were held in the church hall. I loved to listen to the music which they dances to while wishing I could be a ballerina like all the other girls.I always wanted to but never felt I could or would be good enough. Ive always felt self conscious about the way I look from such a young ages, I always felt I could never be anything due to my size and figure.

Anyways enough about my inner issues, if you'd like to learn how to make/see how I made these yummy fair cakes then your in luck.

Things You'll Need :D

  • 110g of Butter or Margarine
  • 110g of Caster Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 110g of Self Raising Flour

Right lets began :)

First things first your going to need to find your self a big sized mixing bowl (as you can see I'm using this big blue one ^^.).
Add both sugar and butter into a bowl and mix together.
next you'll need to add your eggs to your butter mixture and cream together.(Try not to break the eggs away from the bowl, I did and trust me eggs are a bit*h to clean :(.)
Once your eggs are all mixed in nicely time to add your flour. You do what the fancy recipes say and sieve in your flour but who can be bothered with that :P.
woowhoo were almost day.

Its spooning time
Once your cake mixture is ready get your self some little cup cake/fair cake cases and spoon in the mixed, (depending on the size of case, spoon in to about half way up the cause.)
then its ready to place in the over. (doesn't matter what shelf i think just shove it in :p)

While you wait for them to cook tidy up cause leaving it all to the end is never fun.
After 30 minuets your cakes should be nice and golden. (or if like mine a little to golden cause you got bored and went on instagram for more then 30 minuets)
Once your cakes are cool its time for icing :) lets face it the decorating is the best part of baking.

For The Butter Icing
For every spoon of butter add 3 to 4 spoon fulls of icing sugar.
(I feel its really all in the taste, keep adding the icing sugar to the butter until its as sweet as your happy with)

Like you did before mix both icing sugar and butter together until smooth and creamy. Once you feel your butter icing is sweet enough, go a head and add in some food colouring to make you cakes stand out and look pretty hehe. (being the big fail that i am, i forgot to buy food colouring :( )

(I dunno if you can see in the picture) To get the swirling effect with your icing i used a piping bag. you can pick them up pretty much every where, where you'd find baking stuff.
Then to finish it all off, top off you cakes with little sweets of your choice or anything you like really :D

I decided to use little sugar butterfly's which were from Sainsburys, some sour raspberry glitter from Wilkinson (they have an awesome new baking section BTW) and some old classic 100 1000s.
OMG this stuff is soo good i could just eat it on its own, or with a lolly pop like a dib-dab <3

And here you have it little cute and yummy fairy cakes all nice and ready for you to eat :).
